The Awards were designed as way to build self-esteem and pride for the First Nations communities and to provide role models for First Nations Youth. The First Nations Awards Ceremony is the highest honour that the First Nations communities bestows upon its achievers.

CRITERIA:

First Nation memeber of Saskatchewan;

Age (if youth, indicate ages 17-25)-(deceased individuals are not eligible);

Positive Contributions- advanced First Nations Peoples and communities in Saskatchewan; assisted in positive portrayal;built self-esteem and pride; a positive role model for First Nations people;

Impact-at local, national or international levels;

Personal Accomplishments and Achievements-education, empolyement, publications, honors, awards and recognition received;

Leadership rolers(capacity and duration);

Volunteer Work (within and outside the designated category);

Longevity(duration of activity, project(s) and role(s))
